The medical director of St Jude’s, Mr. J Adeghe PhD FRCOG MIHM, has over 30 years of experience in infertility, obstetrics and gynaecology including 10 years as an NHS consultant. As part of his time in the NHS, Mr. Adeghe set up a successful IVF unit at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and has authored many papers in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. He has worked with known infertility experts such as Prof J Cohen D.Sc PhD FIBiol and Professor J.R. Newton MD FRCOG.
Mr. Adeghe is supported by a team of doctors, nurses, and embryologists and a counsellor who are all experienced in assisted conception. There are also two highly qualified and experienced ultrasonographers. The range of fertility treatments and other services available is comprehensive. More information can be found here.
St Jude’s Hospital in Newcastle-under-Lyme has a key strength, a high specification major surgical operating theatre. This allows a range of surgical procedures to be carried out.
Patients can contact the hospital directly to enquire about specific procedures and consultants who are available to carry then out. St Jude’s also welcomes consultants who wish to carry out procedures in a quality environment and at competitive rates.
In addition to day care surgery, St Jude’s in Newcastle-under-Lyme provides fertility treatments such as IVF, ICSI, IUI, Egg donation, Donor insemination and surrogacy in collaboration with our sister hospital in Wolverhampton. During the process of treatment, blood tests, consultations and scans can be carried out locally with visits to Wolverhampton necessary for only 2 stages of the process. This allows residents of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding regions to have treatment in nearby surroundings, minimising travel.
