Treatment

If you will be undergoing treatment, all options available to you will be discussed and the chances of achieving a pregnancy compared with your own "natural" chances. You will then be given an idea of how many treatment cycles we would recommend and the consequences of the treatment being unsuccessful.

Before embarking on treatment, you will be made aware of the following:

The limitations and possible outcomes of the proposed treatment
Possible side effects and risks of treatment
The techniques involved
The implications of treatment - especially with donor egg or sperm
Alternative treatments
The cost of treatment
The availability of counselling
The clinic's statutory duty to take into account the welfare of any child resulting from treatment or an existing child
